The primary responsibilities of the IA Floor Inspector are a key member of our maintenance team responsible for inspecting aircraft and providing inspection guidance on all aspects of aircraft maintenance; determining equipment malfunctions on the shop floor prior to the final return to service. The ideal candidate exercises strong judgment and demonstrates a commitment to the success of the company by positively supporting the company’s directives and objectives.
Essential Responsibilities/ Duties:
- Ensure all maintenance work is carried out to the highest quality standards, meeting both company and regulatory requirements.
- Inspects aircraft repairs and alterations on the shop floor to return the aircraft to airworthiness.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot aircraft systems and components to identify and rectify issues promptly.
- Reviews and assists in interpreting FAA data and documentation, airworthiness directives, FAR’S, Advisory Circulars, etc.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive hardcopy and digital records of all maintenance and repair activities in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Signs off on various inspections accordingly per the 145 Repair Station.
- Determine if any alterations to the plan and schedule are necessary to ensure that tasks are completed within budget.
- Ensure tasks are signed off and completed within the agreed timeframe.
- Assist with training and development coordination.
- Other duties or responsibilities as assigned by your Manager.
