Join the Rocky Research team working on Laser SupportEquipment (LSE) for directed energy weapons "Star Wars" technology. You willleverage your CAD experience and skills in the investigation and solution ofchallenging technical problems. You will use your creativity to design new andmodify existing products, parts, or processes while applying establishedstandards, guidelines and specifications. By collaborating with others on theengineering teams, you will engage in the design, review and optimizationprocess to ensure the quality of the engineering drawings and models, workingtogether to deliver against overall project timelines.

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization

WE VALUE
  • Extensive knowledge of CAD software (CATIA V5, CREO 2.0, Solid Works, NX, etc.)and hardware practices
  • Design experience in the field or in a related area
  • Design experience on: High voltage systems, power generation systems, electronic components, cooling systems, HVAC refrigerant systems.
  • Deep understanding of a variety of the fields standards and specifications
  • Capability to work independently to follow guidelines and ensure production of high quality design documents
  • Application of engineering techniques to optimize product and part designs
  • Ability to consistently make timely decisions even in the face of complexity or ambiguity
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
  • Capability to clearly and concisely communicate with partners.
  • Good computer skills with programs such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams to deliver optimized design outcomes
