Responsibilities

This role ensures that Spirit’s systems and procedures are aligned with regulatory requirements in accordance with Spirit’s policies and procedures as documented in our Station Operations Manual (SOM). The position identifies system requirements, influences design of new software/hardware, and works closely with IT to test new technologies. They also assist with documentation of new procedures to support change management and ensures training material associated with impacted areas is updated accordingly. This role helps drive change management plans and works closely with airport and cross-divisional stakeholders to ensure adoption of new systems and procedures.

 

  • Develop written communications with detailed business processes/procedures to ensure Airport Services personnel are informed of policy and procedural changes in a timely manner.
  • Periodic review of required regulatory programs to ensure accuracy, standardization, and compliance. Coordinate revisions, updates, and modifications to maintain program currency and integrity.
  • Responsible to continuously review, update, and maintain accuracy of the Station Operations Manual (SOM), Contract of Carriage, and Electronic General References material.
  • Perform system troubleshooting and resolution.
  • Provide business requirements for the development of new systems to be used by Airport Services personnel.
  • Complete user testing on new and existing systems including software and hardware.
  • Develop procedures for the use of these new systems.
  • Develop and distribute clear, concise communications to Airport Services personnel system-wide.
  • Analyze current processes and determine changes necessary for process improvements.
  • Conduct Safety Risk Evaluations to ensure new and revised processes are not introducing risk into the operation. 
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by Manager to achieve department and company objectives.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • 1-3 years’ experience (Aircraft Operations or Airport Operations field)
  • Valid U.S. Drivers license and valid passport
  • Ability to track projects and conduct detailed analysis on
  • Acts as support liaison for the field, including coordination and deployment of new systems
  • Strives to improve communication skills, time management and prioritization skills to maximize effectiveness and efficiency in performing assigned duties.
  • Develops organizational awareness, functional knowledge of various automated systems and an understanding of working documents and manuals.
  • Maintains knowledge of current and pending regulations which affect area of responsibility and ensures activities maintain compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Domestic & International travel approximately 25 of time.
  • Proven ability to maintain excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate strong technical skills, organizational skills and must be detail-oriented
  • Project management and data analytics skillsets highly desired
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Multi-tasking: Able to carry several assignments at the same time and deliver positive results.
  • Adjust to continuous change, in condition to shift focus to new tasks while keeping productivity and without losing sight of general goals.
  • Detail Oriented, produce accurate work to avoid unnecessary reproduction.
