Overview:
Founded in 1978, AeroTurbine has been dedicated to developing and providing the highest level of turbine engine and accessory overhaul, repair, and testing capabilities since they began serving their first customer, the U.S. Air Force. Based at Californias Stockton Metropolitan Airport, adjacent to its 9,600-ft. runway, Aero Turbine’s 1.5-acre property includes a more than 40,000 sq. ft. purpose-built maintenance facility. Aero Turbine’s engine test cell, rated for engines up to 35,000 lbs. of thrust, is robust enough to handle fifth generation military jet engines. 
AeroTurbine offers complete overhaul, repair, and testing capabilities for more than 20 turbine engine models and their accessories, including powerplants from General Electric, Honeywell, Pratt & Whitney, Allison, Teledyne Continental, and Magellan. The company’s FAA authorized Part 145 Repair Station has a complete engine shop, machine shop, and accessory and welding shops, equipped with the state-of-the-art tooling and instruments required to provide superior aftermarket services. Aero Turbine’s capabilities include inspect cores, test components, balance turbines and compressors, analyze metals, calibrate fluid flows, and fabricate, mill, and treat parts.  The company currently has revenues of over $22M with 146 employees, the majority of which are Technicians and Engineers.  
AeroTurbine sets the standard for the overhaul and repair of turbine engine components, the most critical parts of jet powerplants. The company holds authorizations, tools and equipment to provide turnkey service on compressors, shafts, nozzles, burners, and all other components for more than 20 turbine engine models including J85, J79, and J69. The company also offers NDT (nondestructive testing) for components and ancillary services including compressor and turbine balancing, and hot zone and core inspections. 
Aero Turbine’s top customers are the US Air Force, US Navy, and the US Army as well as international departments of defense, including Chile, Pakistan and others.  The company works very closely with the USAF through Tinker AFB for direct sales to the USAF, as well as for FMS/FMF/DCS to international customers.  AeroTurbine is slated for significant future growth with users of the J85 engine through FMS/FMF/DCS with the governments/defense departments of countries in South America, Europe, Asia, and Africa.  
Performance Objectives:
The Contracts Administrator is responsible for overseeing an organization’s compliance with government laws and regulations. The duties include coordinating with company management to identify potential risks, implementing policies and procedures to uphold laws and regulations and monitoring the company’s adherence to those policies and procedures. This position also manages and reviews business contracts for financial agreements like company purchases, rental agreements, new hire contracts and business proposals. The duties also include negotiating contract terms and conditions with each party, analyzing potential risks involved with certain contract agreements and helping employees and leadership better understand the information outlined in the contracts.
 
 
 
The daily duties and responsibilities of a Contracts Administrator generally revolve around identifying and eliminating the risks of noncompliance, both externally and internally. Their most important duties and responsibilities are:
  • Develop internal company policies and see that they are respected.
  • Make sure the organization has a clearly defined program for complying with the country’s laws.
  • Constantly report to management concerning the organization’s compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Take action in dealing with noncompliance situations, creating realistic plans to overcome them.
  • Conduct regular audits to identify potential weaknesses and noncompliance situations.
  • Communicate with employees and make sure everyone is aware of what they need to do to comply with internal and external laws and regulations.
  • Take sufficient steps to minimize project risks
  • Liaise with and support the Project Manager to ensure the project is executed safely and properly
  • Ensure compliance with the company’s work health and safety policies, standards, and procedures
  • Prepare monthly project reports and make presentations at meetings
  • Support negotiations of claims, manage contractual changes and resolve disputes or conflict resolution with Contractors
  • Assess and prepare claims from suppliers
  • Ensure project members use the contract correctly
Education/Experience:
  • Bachelors Degree;
  • 5+ years’ experience writing reports
  • FAR/DFAR Experience required.
Proficient with the English language to interpret and follow various technical data.
 
Wage Range:  $31.00 - $42.00
