Job SummaryProvide the Endpoint Client Computing team support in the areas of Project Coordination, Endpoint Client Computing Operations, and Business Analysis. Coordinate and communicate support requests and clarify priorities involving cross-functional technical staff and management in the following areas: Enterprise Endpoint Client computing administration and management, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure operations, patch management, software distribution and operating system deployment.
Plan and organize project or life-cycle activities for Infrastructure services. Perform business analysis and requirements gathering, as well as support level of effort (LOE) estimates.
The successful candidate will have a good grasp of technology, have great interpersonal skills and high level of understanding of implementation order and priority focus.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Provides project coordination under the guidance of a Project Manager or Functional Manager for Infrastructure related initiatives. Initiatives can range from Change Requests to OPEX or CAPEX projects.
  • Applies IM Project Management Framework and ensures Project Monitoring and Control tasks are scheduled.
  • Coordinates project tasks on a behalf of a project manager, program manager or project sponsor
  • Assists with the creation of or modifications to Project Approval, Amendment and proposal documentation.
  • Provide SAFe Agile Scrum Facilitator management for the EndPoint Client Computing team.
  • Organize SAFe Agile Sprint PI Planning for the EndPoint Client Computing team, assist with determining team priorities, team objectives, overseeing and ensuring team-based projects and tasks are completed on time, and relaying information to the team, management, and stakeholders.
  • Provides updates to Project or Functional Managers.
  • Consults with clients to clarify business requirements, analyzes capacity, prepares proposals, conducts feasibility studies and provides solutions to achieve timely and cost-effective results.
  • Coordinates a regular review of requests to prioritize and schedule requests.
  • Documents business and functional requirements for Infrastructure changes.

Education:

  • Degree from a recognized university or community college with an acceptable specialization in computer, electrical engineering, systems engineering, computer science or information systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • PMP certification is an asset.
  • Agile Scrum certification is an asset.

Experience:  

  • 3&43; years of experience in the development of business requirements and functional and technical requirements for simple and complex systems.
  • Experience developing test cases and performing all levels of testing.
  • Experience working directly with vendors communicating issues, priorities and coordinating delivery of assets and services.
  • Experience with IT frameworks and process including ITIL, Incident Management, Change Management, Quality Management, Project Management, Patch Management and Life-cycle processes and guidelines.
  • Experience in SAFe Agile Framework, principles and processes.

Knowledge:

  • In-depth knowledge of specific critical systems, operations and maintenance techniques and practices
  • Knowledge of configuration management and process engineering techniques
  • Knowledge of small, medium, and large-scale IT / IM solutions, infrastructure, tests, software development, software configuration management tools and methods.
  • Knowledge of network communications, Information Security and protocols.
  • Sound knowledge of resource and financial tracking tools.
  • Knowledge of ITSM management tracking tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of Project Management.
  • Knowledge of SAFe Agile Framework, principles and processes.

Abilities:

  • Possess IT knowledge and skills to be able to conduct a review of project artifacts, functional and non-functional requirements for assessing quality and adherence to  Solution Life Cycle (SLC).
  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to document, confirm scope, order dependencies and refine level of effort estimations for technical work items.

  • Tact and diplomacy dealing with others.
  • High degree of initiative, and timeliness in delivering lifecycle and project outcomes.

Working conditions:

  • Travel may be required on occasion.
  • This position is based at the Ottawa Logistics center but may be eligible for a flexible work arrangement.
