Job Description:

The Network of Operations (NOC) Technical Analyst invests in the future of Southwests People in their work supporting the delivery of projects and products relating to the Analytics, Workforce and Training Functional Areas of the NOC and Network Operations Planning. This role collaborates with Stakeholders in Dispatch and Regulated Operations, Analytics, and Technology on a regular basis, with many more groups as needed. The NOC Technical Analyst is a skilled communicator that has a chance to contribute towards the modernization of the NOC and put best-in-class tools and products into the hands of our operators in the NOC.

This role is a hybrid position based out of our Corporate Campus in Dallas, TX, which requires Employees to work onsite on our Corporate Campus at least three days a week. The Department designates the specific three days of the week Employees must work on-site.

Responsibilities
  • Apply knowledge and skills of analysis, business processes, tools, domains, project methodologies, requirements definitions, and testing to solve a range of problems
  • Partner with other Technology team members to provide advice or solutions within area of expertise
  • Stay informed about current developments within expertise
  • Identify problems, perform root cause analysis, investigate information, perform impact analysis, and formulate and execute plans to develop solutions
  • Identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
  • Understand dependency identification processes in technology work, verify information and carefully review and check the accuracy of own work
  • Express ideas as well as business or technical requirements clearly and concisely in writing using appropriate levels of summary and synthesis
  • Understand at a broad level how technology platforms/architectures are applied to automated business solutions
  • Facilitate the creation and maintenance of proper product documentation
  • Work with Stakeholders and business partners to maintain strong relationships to guarantee objectives and goals are met
  • May perform other job duties as directed by Employees Leaders

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of business analysis, process modeling and redesign
  • Knowledge of technical environments
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies
  • Skilled in collecting, organizing, visualizing and assimilating data, including turning raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software
  • Skilled in analyzing medium to large Business or technical problems, articulating the problem or root cause, and translating the analysis into viable solution recommendations
  • Ability to work effectively in a strong customer service/team oriented environment
  • Ability to research, create, and document requirements, processes, and technical specifications
  • Ability to take on multiple assignments, whether administrative or project related, while maintaining a successful level of completion in all responsible work
  • Ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions, including finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events

Education

  • Required: High School Diploma or GED

Experience
  • Preferred: Experience with Workforce Managment projects and/or software

  • Preferred: Experience with big data, multiple tables and data sources

  • Preferred: Experience working in multiple systems such as legacy and proprietary systems

  • Intermediate level experience, fully functioning broad knowledge in:
    • Business analysis, process modeling and redesign
    • Project Management

Physical Abilities
  • Ability to perform work duties from [limited space workstation/desk/office area] for extended periods of time
  • Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
  • Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job

Other Qualifications
  • Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
  • Ability to work extended hours based on operational needs

Pay & Benefits:

  • Competitive market salary from $97,750 per year to $108,600 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
