Job Description:

The Project Coordinator will support a very dynamic operation including prototyping, manufacturing, kitting, integration, and delivery. Will be responsible for directing, organizing, and controlling project activities under the direction of the Program Manager.

DUTIES

  • Planning, monitoring, coordinating, and reviewing all aspects of assigned projects.
  • Utilize organizational databases and cloud storage mediums for maintenance and filing of important project documentation.
  • Write Technical Order Requests for Proposal and forward to Program Manager for final approval prior to processing.
  • Provide weekly, monthly and quarterly project status updates to Program Manager.
  • Monitor project's materials and labor budget. Work with Project Cost Analyst (PCA) to ensure that project activities are being completed within established budget parameters.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and reporting in scheduling, critical path analysis, and program coordination to ensure that Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) is accurate and accounts for completed items and new occurrences.
  • Provide what-if analysis for proposed baseline changes, using standard schedule analysis methodologies and potential courses of actions with forecasts and risks assessments due to program changes or external influence showing an impact to critical path, thereby feeding into the programs risk management process.
  • Perform analysis on subcontractor IMS submissions to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Planning, executing, and tracking program technical, schedule, and cost status, including risk mitigation efforts.
  • Process Contract Data Requirements list (CDRL) items for customer delivery and ensure CDRL information is listed in the correct format and upload information per contract requirements.
  • Coordinate Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings. Work with Program Manager to determine date, time and agenda.
  • Record meeting minutes.
  • Develop Bill of Materials (BOM) required using drawings and/or statement of work (SOW).
  • Develop and maintain Program Risk Register for assigned efforts.
  • Submit Purchase Requests (PR) to procure parts and/or raw materials for assemblies, kits and fabricated parts.
  • Coordinate the cost-effective shipping of kits and materials to manufacturing locations.
  • Perform inventory control activities by coordinating with Logistics Department to track incoming items and stored inventory for accountability purposes.
  • Work with US Army and external agencies action officers to facilitate communication in a timely manner and synchronize all acquisition efforts.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • BA/BS Degree or currently enrolled with at least 8 years of task related experience and / or 8+ years of related experience, with at least 2 years specifically in military standards and specifications
  • The candidate should possess the knowledge and skills to solve technical and logistical issues on a major defense acquisition.
  • Formal technical training or on the job training in DoD Acquisitions and manufacturing procurement experience
  • Aircraft maintenance/modification experience highly desirable.
  • Ability to read and interpret statements of work (SOW), build a work breakdown structure (WBS) utilizing the SOW and lay into the estimate to complete (ETC).
  • Ability to lead Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings bringing together business, logistics and technical elements
  • Intermediate to Proficient computer skills; specifically using MS Office Suite; ability to learn additional computer skills or software programs.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Project is preferred.
  • Proficient in reading/interpreting aircraft and manufacturing drawings, wiring schematics, and modification work orders (MWO)
  • Interpersonal skills to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff. Will also routinely interact with external stakeholders such as customers, vendors, suppliers, shipping companies, etc.
  • Professional customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service, and follow-up.
  • Strong problem-solving skills; ability to draw conclusions and make recommendations for problem resolution.
  • Ability to lead and assist control account managers (CAMs) with the development and maintenance of schedules.
  • High degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently
