Join our Planning and Scheduling team as Scheduler at our Commercial Flight Training Centre in Crawley (Gatwick).
The role we are offering you
The rostering department is responsible for meticulously managing and maintaining training schedules, instructor assignments and simulator allocation. This critical role ensures compliance with aviation regulations, safety standards and operational guidelines whilst optimising resource utilisation.
In this position you will be required to work independently over assigned fleets within a small team. Communication is paramount to deliver the highest level of customer service to the Client. You will ensure that all schedules within a rolling 3-month period, are following specific regulatory agency regulations, considering best practice in the utilisation of instructors, along with the daily revision of conflicts and notifications.
Your expertise in scheduling and rostering and attention to detail will be key to the success of our operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively and creatively works to provide a schedule that drives revenue retention through client satisfaction as well as employee retention through consistent work life balance.
- Communicates with their manager and planning to react to client requests and proactively address possible training concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of schedules, instructor availability and effective use of simulator utilisation.
- Seeks opportunities to improve revenue efficiency by optimising booked schedules and providing clear slots for sales to fill. Balances responses to both clients and account executives in a delivery style that ensures equal support for all clients and ensures high quality training.
- Follow regulatory requirements to ensure all training is booked and scheduled within the CAA, EASA, UK authorities and regulations. Key ownership on all regulatory conflicts process.
- Short term planning and scheduling of training requirements, allocation of simulator, training devices, classroom and instructor resources in accordance with the approved course or training footprints.
- Ensure Clients are accommodated in a friendly, highly respective manner with specific emphasis on problem solving and client assistance.
Our ideal candidate
- Has previous aviation crew scheduling and/ or operational experience (desirable).
- Has experience in the use of Scheduling Tools (desirable).
- Experience of the aviation industry and Flight Simulation (desirable).

Contract details & location
This on-site position is based at our modern Commercial Aviation Training Centre in Crawley/Gatwick and offers flexibility to work from home 1 day a week. We are offering a permanent contract, working hours of the role are Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.30pm with a 30-minute lunch break.
We require flexibility to work bank holidays and need availability to take part in a weekend on call rota that is shared in the team.
