Job Summary

Under the limited supervision of the Director, Applications supports diverse business areas (Operations, Finance, Human Capital Management etc.) and the related IT business applications used to support the key business processes in those areas. The incumbent will fill the gap between business needs and technology solutions, with a focus on supporting the implementation and optimization of business processes in ERP platforms. 

Here is how the Senior Applications Support Analyst will help:  

  • Participate in requirements analysis by gathering specifications and creating user stories to define project deliverables.
  • Demonstrate hands-on expertise in Enterprise Applications including ERP, Cloud based solutions & Data applications customizations, and integrations to meet organizational needs.
  • Oversee the customization, optimization, and continuous improvement of ERP applications/workflows to align with business requirements.
  • Provide tier-3 support for business applications, including ERP systems, Grants Management, ADP, and other relevant software.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, updates, and patches for business applications to ensure system stability and security.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot complex issues related to business applications,
  • Manage ongoing production maintenance, project support and enhancements involving all stages of application life cycle development and related inbound and outbound integrations.
  • Develop and conduct training sessions for end-users to enhance their proficiency in using business applications.
  • Build and maintain relationships with software vendors, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Manage end-to-end IT service delivery, ensuring SLAs and KPIs are met.
  • Collaborate closely with internal business stakeholders to understand their requirements, align IT services with business goals, and ensure the delivery of solutions that meet business need fostering strong relationships and effective communication.
  • Required to analyze data and test the software/applications when they are deployed on to production.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the IT service delivery function, with automation and identifying areas for optimization and implementing best practices.
  • Propose innovative solutions aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Performs other related tasks as assigned or required.

Qualifications

Preferred requirements to apply for the role of Senior Applications Support Analyst are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field from an accredited college or university.   
  • Three (3) to Five (5) years’ experience supporting ERP applications functions. 
  • Possess or obtain prior to employment a valid Pennsylvania Class C driver’s license.  Note: license must be maintained throughout employment.

 

We also expect that candidates will demonstrate the following knowledge, skills, and abilities in most cases:  

  • Considerable ability to of manage, troubleshoot, and enhance enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as JDEdwards, Workday, Salesforce, as well as other enterprise applications and packages.
  • Ability to provide tier-3 support for business applications, including ERP systems, Grants Management, ADP, and other relevant software.
  • Considerable knowledge of IT Service Management processes and best practices
  • Ability to perform routine maintenance tasks, updates, and patches for business applications to ensure system stability and security.
  • Investigate and troubleshooting skills that can be applied to complex issues related to business applications.
  • Capable of managing integrations between different business applications, ensuring seamless data flow.
  • Ability to build relationships with software vendors, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
