JOB PURPOSE

The Talent Acquisition Partner will recruit professional and technical candidates, with an emphasis on aviation technicians, based on the needs of the organization by collaborating with hiring managers and Human Resources Business Partners. Must have a focus on delivering an amazing experience for all individuals involved in hiring process. Perform functions assigned in the organization, coordination and implementation of Human Resources programs, procedures, and practices within Talent Acquisition and to assist team members in other Human Resources areas as needed.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Job Functions:

  • Collaborates with hiring managers to understand the needs and roles to be filled; reviews job descriptions for vacancies.
  • Assists with the development and revision of specifications and job descriptions for selected positions.
  • Identifies the most effective methods for recruiting and attracting candidates.
  • Drafts recruitment advertisements: posts and/or places ads in the most effective digital and/or print media for open positions.
  • Identifies appropriate candidates and assesses their qualifications through review of their resumes, interviews, and other forms of communications.
  • Screening resumes and forwarding qualified candidates for management review.
  • Performing in-person and phone interviews with candidates.
  • Maintains contact with candidates to keep them apprised of the status of their applications.
  • Coordinating interviews with the hiring managers with possible candidates.
  • Makes recommendations to management regarding personnel actions such as hires, promotions, and transfers.
  • Establishes, coordinates recruitment processes including applicant review process with department managers, reference checks, background investigation procedures and the hiring approval process.
  • Performs recruitment activities including receiving and maintaining personnel requisitions, making job offers and scheduling start dates.
  • Facilitates contacts by creating and maintaining a presence in the technical/industry community and marketplace while serving as a liaison with area employment agencies, colleges, and industry associations.
  • Maintaining relationships with both internal and external clients to ensure staffing goals are achieved; coordinating with contractor liaisons.
  • Attends job fairs and industry conferences; runs company booth at job fairs.
  • Completing timely reports on employment activity on a weekly basis
  • Ensures compliance with regard to hiring process in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal laws.
  • Assist HR in administration functions as needed.
  • Performs other duties within Human Resources department as assigned.

Marginal Job Functions:

  • Communicates on the telephone, e-mail and actively participates in meetings.
  • Interacts with employees and candidates regarding projects to deliver an amazing experience.
  • Collaborates with other departments/directors as necessary in a professional manner.
  • Presents departmental activity updates at management meetings.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage workload.
  • Travel out of state and abroad as seen fit by executive team.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Thorough understanding of technical roles and technical skills.
  • Thorough understanding of recruiting methods and best practices, as well as applicable policies and federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Bilingual – English/Spanish REQUIRED (native speaker preferred).
  • (MUST) have strong technical skills, preferably in Paycom.

SMS REQUIREMENTS

  • Will provide top-level resources and support to SMS compliance, FAA regulations, safe workplace initiatives/practices, and to eliminate health hazards.
  • Will consider all employee suggestions to propose solutions, and/or possible improvements for achieving a safer, healthier workplace.
  • Will monitor, measure and track safety objectives to ensure performance standards are met and to implement continuous improvement measures.

Must be detail oriented and execute with a high level of accuracy.

Education/Training: High School diploma or equivalent required. Post-secondary education or multiple years’ experience preferred.

Experience: Minimum of at least one (1) year of related recruiting experience is required, with prior experience in technical roles a plus. Aviation, manufacturing, or complex industry experience preferred.

Certificates/Licenses: Must hold a current valid Arizona driver’s license. SHRM or HRCI certifications preferred.

Other: May be required to work at all locations - Marana, AZ, Tucson, AZ and Roswell, NM as business needs dictate. •Must be able to travel extensively on recruiting assignments.
