Avionics Technician - Bend OR

Advanced Avionics LLC has several exciting opportunities for experienced avionics technicians in beautiful Bend, OR. This position is responsible for the installation, repair and maintenance of avionics systems and related equipment. Top candidates will possess excellent attention to detail, have a strong mechanical aptitude and have good verbal communication skills. This is a full time position with benefits included.

Job Duties:

• Install, repair, troubleshoot and maintain common avionics systems and equipment.
• Read and Interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, wiring diagrams, drawings and other engineering or technical documentation.
• Fabricate, route or modify wire harnesses.
• Perform software loading and configuration procedures according to OEM documentation.
• Fabricate and install simple aluminum or composite brackets to aircraft structures.
• Install antennas on aluminum or composite aircraft.
• Perform 14 CFR 91.411 and 91.413 test procedures.
• Recognize and take immediate corrective action regarding unsafe conditions.

• High School Diploma / GED
• 1 year of experience
• A&P license (preferred but not required)
• Radio Operator's license (preferred but not required)
• Understanding of DC electrical theory
• Understanding of 14 CFR 91.411 and 91.413
• Understanding of AC 43.13-1B
• Able to lift 50+ lbs unassisted
• Ability to function and perform all tasks in an aircraft hangar environment
• Ability to work in confined spaces (small aircraft)
• Ability to read small print with corrected or uncorrected vision
• Ability to manipulate small components (fine motor skills)
• Ability to pass random drug tests
