Avionics Trouble Shooter

Strategic Support Solutions is looking for experienced Avionics Trouble Shooter.  A&P license is preferred, but not required.  FCC license is a plus.  Pay is negotiable and dependent on experience.    

Basic Job Description   

• Troubleshoot and repair avionics and electrical equipment.
• Isolate and verify operation of integrated components.     

Knowledge & Skills   

• Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in troubleshooting on small business jets working with the following systems:
  • Garmin
  • Rockwell Collins Pro-Line
  • Honeywell
• Must have a working knowledge of pitot-static systems and test equipment.
• Must have a working knowledge of aircraft software.
• A&P License preferred but not required  . 
• FCC license preferred.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to deal with stressful situations and timelines while maintaining professional and non-confrontational attitude.   
• Required to provide own hand tools, marked, shadowed and inventoried.   

Minimum Experience & Education   

• High School degree or equivalent required   
• The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three (3) years of experience installing and troubleshooting avionics on small – medium corporate jet and turboprop aircraft      

Physical Requirements/Working Environment   

• Be physically able to perform aircraft mechanic duties.  
• Ability to move freely about the interior and in the unpressurized area aft of the aft pressure bulkhead and meet aircraft specific specs for weight limit.  
• Stand, squat, sit, walk, work with arms overhead for extended periods of time.  
• Pull, push, and lift up to 50 lbs.
