Flight Follower

Air Borealis is currently seeking applicants for a Flight Follower position in Goose Bay, NL.

Job Duties:

• Provide flight following for all Air Borealis flights for the area of operation;
• Check and monitor weather conditions;
• Prepare and flight and weather packages for flight crew;
• Monitor passenger and cargo loads for all flights;
• Responsible for the daily line up; compiling information, updates accordingly, circulation;
• Maintain radio communication with all Air Borealis flights;
• Provide coordination of ground services, counter services and flight crews with respect to arriving and departing flights;
• Coordinate the aircraft assignments and service ability with maintenance;
• Coordinate crew assignments with crew schedulers and flight operations while abiding Transport Canada regulations and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP);
• Coordinate the passenger/cargo loads with Commercial to ensure efficient movement of aircraft; Identify and present any impact to the operation or client;
• Coordinate the loading/unloading of aircraft with Ground Operations;
• During periods of irregular operations responsible for identifying alternate solutions to a successful operation while working in a team environment;
• Maintain constant communication with the St. John’s operations center on the status of all flights using the daily line up and company software programs;
• Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications:

• Ability to read and interpret weather using the Aviation Weather Web Site would be considered an asset.
• Radio Operators License would be considered an asset.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced challenging environment.
• Strong attention to detail and exceptional organization skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to work independently is a must.
• Familiar with Microsoft office products.
