Since 1994 Insitu has led in the design, development and production of small autonomous aircraft for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). We are looking for self-motivated, mission driven, collaborative engineering talent to support our goals using flexible and innovative problem-solving capabilities.

Job Description

A Mechanical Engineer performs the design, layout, testing, and evaluation of mechanical and electro-mechanical products and systems. 

  • May perform product development activities, including drawing board layout and interpretation, implementation of customer specifications, and documentation requirements. 
  • May utilize computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks, and conducts engineering studies. 
  • May perform risk assessments and generate risk mitigation plans and strategies. 
  • May specialize in specific field of mechanical engineering, such as composites, electro-mechanical, controls and instrumentation, robotics, tooling, etc.; or in a type of product, such as propulsion systems or mechanical equipment.
  • May collect data from multiple data bases and integrate, analyze and visualize to guide engineering and business decisions.

Qualifications

  • GPA min 3.0. 3.4 and above are highly preferred.
  • Candidates are required to be enrolled in an accredited college or university degree in Mechanical Engineering degree.
  • Some hands on and practical application of engineering skills highly desired.
  • Candidates with 2 or more years of study completed by 6/2024 preferred.
