Description:We are Lockheed Martin
Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Edwards AFB, CA is seeking a full-time Air Vehicle Systems Engineer to support the Air Dominance Combined Test Facility (CTF) working on our F-22 aircraft. The current F-22 Programs are adding/upgrading cutting-edge technologies pushing the platform towards Raptor 2.0! We have a lot of work ahead of us requiring eager and energetic engineering support.
In this role, you will conduct software and hardware integration testing in a flightline environment, support troubleshooting on the aircraft and assist with development of troubleshooting procedures based on system requirements. These activities will be done for multiple avionics capabilities including but not limited to Communication, Navigation and Identification (CNI), Link-16 data link, radar, pods, stores/weapons, displays, and mission computer systems. The position also includes the support of other activities affected by system and flight test integration including flight test operations, instrumentation, software, subsystem weapons, support equipment, and T.O. development. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of aircraft avionics troubleshooting and testing. Odd shifts, overtime, travel and weekend work may be required as needed.
A level 2 employee Typically has 2 - 5 years of professional experience.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years of professional experience; or no experience required with a related Masters degree.
• Fighter Aircraft Avionics/APG experience and familiarity/experience troubleshooting.
• Must be a US Citizen.
Desired Skills:
• F-22 Aircraft Avionics/APG experience.
• Experience with testing of avionics software and hardware.
• Experience operating in an agile environment.
• Proficient in data analysis, problem identification/isolation, and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of the systems engineering process.
• Understanding of electrical wiring diagrams, schematics, and engineering drawings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• This position requires a Secret government security clearance and ability to obtain SAP program access.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $67,400 - $129,300 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidates work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $77,600 - $146,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
