About the Team / Opportunities:

Our  team develops cabin linings  - with a strong focus on inhouse know-how for design and manufacturing- for all aircraft types. Furthermore, the integration of electrical components and the processing of customer requests about aircrafts that have already been delivered are part of our scope of work. As a Module Development Engineer, you are involved in the entire development process - from the initial studies to the design of the series component. You can expect an open-minded team that loves developing safe, innovative and sustainable solutions for our customers.

In your role, you can actively shape technical solutions and contribute your ideas. There is also the opportunity to work across programs and across countries with other Airbus sides. And constantly expand your own knowledge as well as get to know future-oriented topics such as MBSE.


 

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor&39;s degree in Aerospace, Automotive, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or similar qualification.

  • 5 years plus experience in operational lead of small product development or manufacturing design teams in engineering.

  • Experience in Thermoset and/or Thermoplastic design


 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master´s degree in Aerospace, Automotive, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or similar qualification.

  • Experience in detailed design work for thermoset and/or thermoplastic

  • Experience in in Aeronautic environment (DOA) would be a plus

  • Experience in a proficient use of common office tools like Google

  • Excellent Knowledge in design tools like CATIA

  • Experience in operational managing design teams

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work-streams in a fast paced environment, and to work on tight timescales while maintaining excellent execution.

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • You create technical concepts in consultation with customers and advise them on all technical issues

  • You prepare design and approval documents and provide the verification documents to fulfil the requirements

  • You define, develop and supervise sample and test installations

  • You support international suppliers You do 3D design work as part of preliminary investigations, feasibility studies, new component developments but also specific customer inquiries, taking into account material, manufacturing and industrialization aspects as well as relevant requirements and existing technical and procedural regulations

  • You identify and assess strongly of suitable materials and manufacturing technologies as well as development and selection of suitable lightweight design methods for the components to be developed
