Electrical/ Electronics engineers at Sierra Nevada Corporation research, design, develop, test, certify, deploy and improve cutting edge products and services. These cover a very wide range from advanced mission payloads and electronic systems through highly integrated aircraft to orbital and space exploration systems. Youll conceptualize and design new products and processes throughout the product life-cycle from analog and digital electronic circuit card assemblies to fully integrated systems.

Must-haves:

  • Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or other related discipline and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practices
  • Understanding of Computer Aided Engineering tools
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary design & development teams

 

Preferred:

  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
  • Experience in analog, digital, and Radio Frequency (RF) circuit design and schematic capture
  • Understanding of the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) layout processes and tools, including MIL-PRF-31032, MIL-PRF-50884, MIL-PRF-55110, IPC-6012, IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610, and Cadence Allegro
  • Experience performing Electrical Load Analyses (ELAs) and circuit modeling, simulation, and analysis
  • Exposure to simulations through functional models, logical models, and system analyses
  • Knowledge of industry-standard electrical design principles, to include, but not limited to model-based definition, electrical component selection, manufacturing, and production processes
  • Understanding of Electromagnetic Environment (EME) impacts to electronics, including Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI)
  • Familiarity with design requirements related to High Intensity Radiated Field (HIRF) and Indirect Effects of Lightning (IEL)
  • Knowledge of PCB, equipment, and subsystem certification in aerospace environments

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $104,827.91 - $144,138.38. SNC considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
