What does this role look like?

As an Electronics Design Engineer you will support the development of emerging technologies and products within the Space Advanced Strategic Programs portfolio. You will be responsible for understanding and adapting the electrical design of prototype flight vehicles to meet evolving needs.




Key activities you will accomplish in this role:

• You will work collaboratively with small groups of engineers from various disciplines to understand, define, and execute electrical design changes, analyses, production support, test, and integration of prototype flight vehicles.




Typical mins for this role:

• 2 - 5 years of professional experience for this role.
• Must have an active DoD Secret or higher clearance to be considered for this role, thus you are a US Citizen.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.

• Electronic circuit design experience.

• At least a Secret clearance, and willingness and ability to maintain Top Secret clearance.
Desired Skills:
• Willingness to work on-site.
• Ability to self-direct own work while actively collaborating in a multi-discipline team
• Electronic schematic capture and simulation tools such as PSPICE, Zuken, LTSPICE, Hyperlynx
• Designing high-reliability missile electronics
• Electronic circuit analysis
• Analog or digital electronic circuit design
• Power conditioning design
• RF design
• Familiarity with communications and signaling protocols
• Experience with custom test equipment / test racks
• Experience interfacing with telemetry sensors, and telemetry encoding
• Ability to create interface and interconnect diagrams
• Strong presentation, oral, and written skills
• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
• Experience with hands-on test, troubleshooting, and integration of electronic hardware
• Familiarity with cable and harness design
• Familiarity with hardware failure investigation
• Ability to produce and present informal status briefings to program management and customer
• Ability to travel on occasion

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
