This is an exciting opportunity for an Entry Level or Associate Facilities Structural Engineer to join our Engineering and Technology (E&T) team with Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) located in Everett, WA.
This position will focus on structural design & analysis for building systems and equipment supporting the fabrication, final assembly, and delivery of our commercial products. Typical day to day work includes foundation design, seismic analysis, and construction support of infrastructure modifications, as well as support to large equipment installation projects and maintenance.
Position Responsibilities:
Develops moderately complex conceptual designs, final designs, cost estimates and provides maintenance support for the structural phases of buildings
Reviews structural designs to assess compliance with customer requirements, building codes and applicable regulations by applying knowledge of construction principles, practices, and materials
Prepares and presents project information to ensure compliance with applicable construction documents and jurisdictional requirements and to meet project objectives
With limited supervision, develops and updates design standards and site-specific operating procedures in order to establish common practices
Provides input to strategic, short-term, and long-term infrastructure planning; completes studies; analyzes current conditions and future requirements; recommends capital improvements; gathers and analyzes data; and works with both internal and external customers in order to identify and assess alternatives and impacts
Assists in the creation of contract scope
Ensures suppliers comply with all contract obligations
Interprets and analyzes applicable regulations, standards, codes, and ordinances with respect to project requirements
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
1+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
1+ years of experience in structural engineering
EIT (Engineer-in-Training) certificate
Experience with AutoCAD
Experience with Revit software
Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Software experience (SAP2000, RISA 3D, and/or STAAD)
Experience in advanced analysis capabilities in non-linear finite element analysis (FEA) of composite structures
Typical Education/Experience:
Entry Level:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Associates:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range:
Entry Level: $68,000 - $92,000
Associate: $83,300 – $112,700
