In this role,the successful candidate will be responsible for providing HSE support for our manufacturingfacilities in Freeport IL, partnering with cross-functional facility teams andleaders. You will provide support to operational teams and conduct variousHealth, Safety, and Environmental related activities to ensure regulatory andcompany requirement compliance. 

You will interact with employees and supervisors to coach on HSE issues.Influence plant personnel to improve HSE standards through use of standardwork, Gembas, rapid problem solving, and visual management.

KEYRESPONSIBILITES:

  • Implementation, monitoring and supporting plant HSE programs/policies toensure compliance with applicable HS&E guidelines, regulations, permits andstandards. 
  • Conduct HSE field assessments and audits.  
  • Assisting in the development of a Risk Management & Emergency ResponsePlan. 
  • Implementation, monitoring and supporting of site Behavior Based SafetyProgram.
  • Responsible for driving continuous improvement throughout the site locationin support of Honeywells Health, Safety, and Environmental Management Systemsand Honeywells Operating System related activities.
  • Influence positive HSE behaviors and demonstrate hazard recognition toimprove the Health, Safety, and Environmental culture.
  • Physical requirements associated with HSE field activities, including moving35lb drums.

    U.S.PERSON REQUIREMENTS:
    Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate mustbe a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanentresident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee statusor have the ability to obtain an export authorization.

MUST HAVE:

  • Bachelors degree OR 3 years HSE experience
  • Manufacturing safety experience preferred 

WE VALUE:

  • HSE Certifications (ASP, CSP) highly desired.
  • Ability to organize data into meaningful information.
  • Effective communicator,
  • Comfortable dealing with conflict,
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment,
  • Some related experience in a similar working environment,
  • Comfortable intervening and coaching when necessary,
  • Ability & desire to implement change across multiple levels
