The Industrial Engineering team within Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking a highly motivated and talented Industrial Engineers (Associate, Experienced or Senior) to join our growing team located in either Everett, Renton, Seattle, or Auburn, Washington, USA.
Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will have the unique opportunity to design, stabilize, improve, and transform production systems and processes to achieve world class operational excellence for some of the world’s most sophisticated aircraft and systems. Our Industrial Engineers will focus on production stability, implementing lean methodologies, assessing and performing to rate readiness requirements, as well as improving quality through root cause analysis. Candidates will be engaging with all manufacturing, engineering, and production-supporting organizations and should be a self-starter as well as a collaborative team player. Our business units allow you to learn all aspects of the Aerospace Manufacturing world allowing you to explore and learn the production build processes from supply chain production readiness, fabrication of raw materials, assembly and installation, and supporting deliveries to our customers around the world.

Position Responsibilities:
Applies industrial engineering concepts, approaches and techniques to product, process and services to meet program requirements of moderate complexity.
Designs, develops, analyzes, tests, evaluates and implements processes and technology insertions by applying industrial engineering techniques and concepts to optimize production system design, operational efficiency and after-market services.
Monitors performance, supports production and systems to meet operational and functional requirements.
Translates engineering, systems, and mathematical concepts to practical applications throughout the product life cycle.
Researches emerging technologies and develops industrial engineering tools and processes.
Ensures compliance with established industry safety, design standards and ergonomic guidelines.
Supports the evaluation of new techniques and technological developments for integration into the production process and service operations.
Develops moderately complex models, databases and spreadsheets to analyze data and provides summary analysis and metrics for consultation to leaders.
Assists with research, design, development, improvement, and implementation of processes and tools to enhance schedule performance, lower cost, and improve quality, for large scale systems integration and asset utilization.
Leads metrics, data analysis, and improvement plans, related to our team’s productivity, efficiency and first-time quality; including Lean+ events, 5S improvement plans, and/or special initiatives to improve organizational effectiveness.
Work Authorization:
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelors degree or higher in an Engineering field
1 or more years of experience defining, developing, implementing, or improving production processes.
1 or more years of experience working in an engineering, manufacturing and/or production environment.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
3 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
5 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Skilled in effective time management, communication, and organizational skills.
1 or more years of experience working in a team environment.
1 or more years of experience working with Lean Manufacturing with knowledge of lean principles
Experience developing and deploying standard processes.
Proficient in structured problem solving.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products
Typical Education/Experience:
Associate (Level 2): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Experienced (Level 3): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Senior (Level 4): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years related work experience, Master+7 years related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range:
Associate (Level 2): $77,350 - $104,650
Experienced (Level 3): $92,650 – $125,350
Senior (Level 4): $109,650 – $148,350
