Boeing Brazil Engineering is seeking an Integrator Engineer to join our team in São José dos Campos, Brazil office.


The engineer could work supporting the development and documentation of the ECS (Environmental Control System) and its sub-systems, such as pneumatic, air conditioning, ventilation, filtration, smoke control, pressurization, system controller, ice & rain protection, humidity, gas treatment & generation, system software, system hardware, sensors. The ideal candidate will have a strong systems engineering & architecture background and be well versed organizing system development.

Leads, trains and mentors’ other engineers. Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Knowledgeable of how the business and organization operates.
  • knowledgeable of policies, practices, trends, and information affecting the business and organization; understands the competition and the marketplace.
  • Understands how to accomplish tasks through formal channels and informal network; understands the cultures of organizations. Applies this information in a way that contributes to the organizations strategic plan and bottom line.
  • Works closely with Boeing Commercial Airplane (BCA) to provide engineering work related to Environmental Control Systems (ECS) of new developments and airplanes in service;
  • Supports artifacts for new or revised designs aiming at showing compliance with Airworthiness and Operational Regulations;
  • Liaising supplier development, test and production activities, aiming at optimizing integration and meet program goals
  • Support and conduct agile routines;
  • Support and prepare team and project plans;
  • Supports artifacts for new or revised designs aiming at showing compliance with Airworthiness and Operational Regulations.
  • Supports the development and documentation of mechanical, fluid system and thermal environment requirements to establish the system design.
  • Performs and documents analyses to validate and verify that aircraft, sub-systems and components meet requirements and specifications.

This position is expected to be 100 onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Systems or Aerospace);
  • Must be legally able to work in Brazil;
  • Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia – CREA);
  • Solid communicator, intermediate level in both written and verbal English;
  • Able to work collaboratively with multi-functional team under agile or waterfall methodology
  • Good understanding of requirement management process
  • Good understanding and interpretation of ICD (Interface Control Drawing)
     

Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):

  • Experience in system architecture, requirement development of project with medium complexity
  • Experience with fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, mass or heat transfer principles;
  • System engineering work experience (desirably in HVAC, or ECS, or automotive cooling/heating systems);
  • Requirements configuration management tools (DOORS).
  • Work experience with one of the following tools and methods (Jira, Azure, SAFE, Scrum, MS project, theory of constraints)
  • Knowledge in manufacturing hydromechanical parts and their brackets
  • Work experience with supplier selection and product development
  • Professional expertise in relevant fields of aircraft development and system installation/airframe design
