Description:This position will reside and provide Environment, Safety and Health (ESH) support to the Lockheed Martin facility located in Bothell, WA. This location is a combination of office, laser research and development labs, and light assembly areas with limited machine tooling.

The individual in this position will be responsible for:
-Responsible for laser safety program
-Performing ESH audits and following up on corrective actions
-Promoting a culture of safety
-Identifying/supporting injury prevention initiatives, investigations and mistake proofing, laser safety officer duties, machine guarding, electrical safety, chemical safety, oversight of commercial motor vehicle and hazardous material shipping compliance, ESH aspects related to flight testing activities, respiratory protection program, powered industrial vehicles, material handling and storage, and chemical control (approvals/ordering/SDS’/storage/handling/disposal), contractor safety, environmental permits and reports, new/transferred employee orientation, office safety, ergonomics and other miscellaneous duties and responsibilities.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Environment, Safety & Health or a related degree; Industrial Hygiene; Chemical Engineering; Environmental Engineering.

Current training for Laser Safety Officer covering all aspects of laser safety and an in-depth knowledge of the ANSI Z136 standard, federal OSHA requirements and state and local compliance, as appropriate.

Three + years of experience functioning in the role of a laser safety officer and experience managing programs in compliance with 29 CFR 1910 General Industry Regulations.

U.S Citizenship Required.
Desired Skills:
-Masters degree in any of the disciplines mentioned under the Basic Qualifications section.
-Industrial Hygiene background.
-Trained in DOT Hazardous Materials regulations(49 CFR).
-Experience with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (49 CFR 390) related to commercial motor vehicles, and Hazardous Waste Regulations (40 CFR).
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $91,300 - $175,000 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidates work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
