The Leonardo DRS Land Systems business is a recognized leader in the design and integration of complex technologies into new and legacy systems and platforms for global military and commercial customers. We are a 3 year running Top Workplace in the Greater St. Louis area.
Job Responsibilities
• Provide direct engineering support to manufacturing operations in a heavy manufacturing environment.
• Experience with welding (MIG, TIG, etc), heavy machining, precision hydraulic assembly, mechanical and electromechanical assembly and product acceptance testing preferred.
• Daily duties may include performing design, fabrication, modification and/or evaluation of manufacturing operations.
• May prepare manufacturing plans, create and maintain manufacturing bill of materials, and create and maintain process instruction set.
• May conduct support studies and provide analysis or tests in the development of manufacturing operations.
• May assign work to technical writers and/or technicians.
• Position will be Involved with the design, development, modification and analysis of products. Troubleshoot and diagnoses problems with existing products and makes modifications and improvements as needed.
• Compile and evaluate product design and test data.
• Evaluate and recommend design approaches to meet production requirements for new or improved products.
• Working knowledge of statistical techniques in development such as Design of Experiments and SPC.

The position requires 2+ years experience and Bachelor’s degree in related engineering or technology field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Responsibilities are moderate in scope where analysis of situations or data involves a variety of common factors
