This exciting position is with our historic Skunk Works Line of Business. Skunk Works is an integral part of Lockheeds Aeronautics business area responsible for advanced systems development including conceptual design and rapid prototyping of clean sheet solutions and improvements and derivatives to existing systems. The ideal skunk is an agile, multi-faceted teammate who loves to solve our customers most difficult challenges. Material Review Engineer working ADP. The MRB Engineer will provide support for detail fabrication, sub-assembly, and component assembly, and delivery operations.

Primary duties of this assignment include anomaly investigation, technical solution development and coordination, and preparation and release of dispositions related to discrepancies on high performance aeronautical detail parts, assemblies, installations and finishes.

MRB engineering candidate will be required to coordinate across a large number of functional areas, including Stress/Service Life, Quality Assurance, Planning, Functional Test, Structures and Systems Design groups, Safety, Materials and Processes. Chosen candidate will work closely with the production floor, support process improvements, incorporate best practices into daily operations, and coordinate lessons learned and corrective action. Must possess experience with making timely decisions and possess the ability to understand and manage financial impacts created by specific decisions.

Candidate must value and support diversity.

Business travel may be required on an occasional basis.

Assignment will require a willingness to participate in occasional temporary rotations on other shifts (2nd & 3rd) to support operations.

Candidate selected will be subject to a government evaluation and will be required to obtain Material Review certification.

Basic Qualifications:
-Bachelors degree in mechanical, aeronautical, civil engineering or Chemical engineering.
-Design, Manufacturing Engineering, or MRB combined experience.
-Must be a US Citizen.
-This position will require a Secret government security clearance within the last 5 years, and ability to obtain SAP program access.
Desired Skills:
-Experience with aeronautical materials and limitations, state-of-the-art measurement and tooling techniques, field maintenance and repair support.
-Prior Material Review experience desired.
-Strong Team Leadership skills.
-Strong internal and external customer focus.
-Ability to make technical decisions and evaluations of non-conforming products with little outside input, accurate disposition information, and in an expedient manner.
-Desired skills include CATIA V5 or similar design software, Microsoft Office, and familiarity with LM tools and processes.
-Blueprint knowledge and interpretation/ Basic GD&T knowledge.
- Familiarity with most types of aeronautical materials and fabrication processes such as composites, metals, wiring, tubing, ducting, and general engineering principles is desired.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Logical problem solver.
- Self-starting, multi-tasker.
- Detail oriented.
- Some weekend, off shift and holiday work is required.
- Basic structural analysis in solution development is required.
- 12 years of related design, Manufacturing Engineering, or MRB combined experience.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $118,100 - $226,400 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidates work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
