Position Responsibilities:
- Experience translating user requirements into actionable engineering tasks
- Demonstrated experience in technical writing and oral communication for soliciting goals and requirements, communicating design decisions, and informing senior leadership
- Ability to build and assess network and software systems architectures
- Implements, and sustains product security and resiliency throughout the requirements, design, build, test, production, operations, and support lifecycle
- Completes test setups to system requirements and architectures for product security to meet all applicable certification and customer requirements
- Develops, implements, and sustains product security and resiliency throughout the requirements, design, build, test, production, operations, and support lifecycle
- Develops and enhances system requirements and architectures for product security to meet all applicable certification and customer requirements
- Configures and ensures security of facilities, equipment, tools, data, networks, and resources used for product: design, development, build, test, storage, delivery, operations, and support
- Defines and identifies product security requirements for suppliers of components and subsystems for integration into Boeing Special Test Equipment
- Advises customers on maintaining product security and certification, including security consequences of modifying products and services
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
- DoD 8570 Level II Certification (e.g. CompTIA Security+, CompTIA CySA+, etc.)
- 3+ years’ experience building workflows, resource management plans, program schedules and other program integration activities, security process development, product life cycle process development
- 3+ years of experience utilizing project management tools and methods such as MS Projects, Milestones, Open Project Professional, etc.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Additional OS certification
- Experience scanning for vulnerabilities, implement mitigations, install, administer, and troubleshoot on the following operating systems:
- Microsoft Windows XP, Microsoft Windows 7, Microsoft Windows 10,
- Linux Distributions
- Oracle Solaris (UNIX)
- Experience with the following:
- NFS and CIFS network data, SAMBA
- NIS, DNS, NTP, SMTP, SNMP, SSH, SFTP, VPN’s
- Active Directory, LDAP, Firewalls
- RAID storage
- Backup methodologies, disaster recovery
- HTTP/HTTPS (Apache and IIS)
- DBA skills: SQL Server, MySQL and Oracle
- Ethernet and GPIB communications
- Programming skills:
- UNIX/Linux shell scripts (C, Bourne, BASH)
- Python script language
Typical Education/ Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
