This position is for the Manufacturing Test Engineering Manager reporting to the Bothell Production Operations Site Lead. This individual will be responsible for day-to-day staff management of manufacturing test operations and supporting successful attainment of all program cost, schedule, and technical performance objectives. Duties include providing staffing with the appropriate training/skill/knowledge base; addressing staffing requests and performance adjustments; handling day-to-day test operations including program priorities, work schedules, tools, workload planning, task monitoring, issue resolution, etc. On occasion, the First Line Manager may be tasked with other special assignments, including but not limited to leadership of capital projects, transitioning new products to production, and proposal/business capture support. The position will focus on cultivating talent in personnel as well as instilling process and discipline.

Candidates must be comfortable within a rapid development environment and with the transition to production; able to execute within short timelines and a given budget. Attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, ability to multitask, good organizational skills, computer literacy, and a demonstrated ability to thrive in a team environment.

The Locale: Bothell is a city located in the state of Washington in the Pacific Northwest. It is part of the Seattle metropolitan area. Bothell is home to Cascadia Community College and the University of Washington, Bothell.
Basic Qualifications:
• Strong leadership & interpersonal skills
• Proven track record as an accomplished engineer, project engineer/project manager, or functional manager
• Familiarity with test engineering concepts and experience with development of test plans & requirements
• Capacity planning and capital project execution experience
• Experience leading the implementation of new manufacturing processes, special test equipment & tooling, or automation (including test automation)
• Ability to secure and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance
Desired Skills:
• Successful experience transitioning technologies from development (mid-TRL) into production
• In-depth understanding of test of CW and pulsed lasers, free space optical systems, optical parametric oscillators (OPOs), and/or non-linear optical systems
• Personnel management experience
• Cost Account Management experience
• Experience with production flow implementation & optimization
• Experience with design-for-manufacturability and/or design-for-test
• Lean / Six Sigma Certifications and/or experience
• Experience developing winning proposals for DoD customers

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $118,100 - $226,400 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidates work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
