Position Summary:

The Process Quality Engineer plays a pivotal role in ensuring product compliance, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and enhancing customer satisfaction through meticulous quality assurance measures. This position collaborates within a multifunctional team to uphold industry standards, manage audits, and implement corrective actions while contributing to the development and improvement of quality processes and documentation.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with a multifunctional team, to drive customer satisfaction, product compliance with industry codes and customer requirements.
  • Conduct training on quality assurance concepts and tools.
  • Familiarize with AS9100, API, AS13100 standards and associated tools.
  • Active and daily participation in our internal audit program. Includes performing audits and making sure all audits and audit findings are closed in a timely manner.
  • Support area managers and training center with closing gaps and making improvements to our training process and documentation.
  • Provide hands on support with implementation of corrective actions, updates of procedures, and working across departments to drive actions to closure.
  • Use a pareto analysis to identify and drive quality improvement projects to eliminate our high defect drivers.
  • Work with departments to update the PFMEA to capture failure modes identified through defect analysis.
  • Conduct MSA studies when necessary.
  • Perform 6S audits.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of five (5) years of professional work experience as a Quality Engineer. Aerospace Quality experience is preferred.
  • Drawing interpretation, and familiarity with regulatory specifications (AS9100, ISO9001, API, NADCAP, etc.).
  • Prior experience in areas of quality assurance such as: RCCA, controls plans, internal auditing, process control, calibration, document control and product evaluation.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership and teamwork across functional boundaries
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Experience using Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
