The role of the productivity specialist within manufacturing enginering at the Borgaretto site is the key element in the definition and implementation of the plants productivity roadmap, operating on both NPI and legacy processes.
This figure acts as a catalyst of ideas, as project owner of specific projects and as a glue within the organization, making relevant information available to the management team to choose priorities.
It represents the promoter of the culture of productivity within the site also through support in the economic quantification of the impact of individual projects on KPIs.
In general, this figure will have to work constantly with the different teams, including the leadership team and the problem solving groups, spending a lot of time in the shop (genba) to observe the processes that generate defective parts and collect useful information through constant and structured dialogue with the operators.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Support the plant project manager in managing the action plan according to the lean methodology (Flight Deck)

  • Support management control of P&E and expenses

  • Support the production team in defining standards for indirect materials management

  • Organize information and data collection within the DSM structure, in particular in relation to the process of eliminating the Human Factor

  • Support managements operational rhythms by managing and organizing data relating to the main components of productivity (Aged, Losses, DLP, Efficiency, Expenses)

  • Represent the focal point of the plant for the management of Cost Biter and for the governance of Cost Out activities

  • Ensure consistency between BOMs and process/product evolutions

  • Manage the SAP part relating to the acquisition of equipment and/or services from external suppliers

  • Manage and develops work cycles on SAP

  • Analyze the production processes currently used and will improve them if they produce defective parts

  • Pursue continuous improvement for quality and cost reduction in designated areas

Requirements

  • Degree in Economics or Management engineering

  • Excellent knowledge of the Office package, in particular must be fluent in the use of Excel

  • Knowledge of the main financial indicators and key KPIs in the management of a plant

  • Previous experience in the sand foundry sector, especially in the management of costs related to foundry expenses

  • Knowledge of the basics of Lean Manufacturing and previous participation in kaizen events

  • Knowledge of AvioAeros cost structure

  • Good knowledge of both written and spoken English and Italian

  • Work visa in accordance with local regulation
