Job Overview

AEVEX Aerospace is looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining electrical systems and components. This key player will combine technical expertise, leadership, and problem-solving skills to design, implement, and maintain electrical systems in various domains.




Essential Functions

· Design, develop, and test embedded electrical systems for aerospace applications.

· Proficient in circuit design with knowledge of embedded microcontrollers, video image processing, battery technology, motor controllers, and power distribution.

· Selection of components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability and determines design approaches and parameters.

· Works with avionics, embedded systems, and Radio Frequency (RF) links. Supports Flight Test operations, as needed.

· Develop and maintain electrical control systems, including wiring diagrams and schematics.

· Analyze and interpret technical data, such as specifications, blueprints, and schematics, to ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations.

· Collaborate with other engineers, technicians, and clients to identify and resolve technical issues and improve system performance.

· Plan and oversee the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.

· Troubleshoot electrical problems and provide technical support to production staff as needed.

· Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure product reliability and performance.

· Stay current with new technologies, trends, and best practices in electrical engineering.

· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Competencies

· Knowledge of common industry protocols (LVDS, I2C, HDMI, UART, SPI, CAN, USB, MIPI)

· Familiarity with battery-powered UAVs

· Knowledge of electrical design software, such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

· Familiarity with electrical codes and regulations, including NEC, UL, and CE

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills




Education / Certifications

· Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or a related field

· Professional certification, such as Professional Engineer (PE), is preferred but not required.




Experience

· 9-12+ years of relevant work experience





Security Clearance

• Ability to obtain/maintain a Top Secret/SCI DoD clearance, U.S. Citizenship required.
