Job Description:

JOB TITLE: Senior Software Engineer

LOCATION: Dallas, TX (hybrid role, may work from home)

DUTIES: Design, write program code, test, document, and implement application systems; apply knowledge and skills of software development and testing to solve a range of problems; partner with other Technology Team members to provide advice or solutions and keep informed about current developments; identify problems, perform root cause analysis, investigate information, and perform impact analysis; formulate and execute plans to develop solutions; identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems; understand how technology platforms/architectures are applied to automated business solutions; facilitate or complete analysis, design, and programming of viable solutions to high complexity business problems according to user specifications; develop or approve detail program specifications; partner with Enterprise Architecture to evaluate and recommend emerging technologies, and influence technical designs; participate in system and acceptance testing; ensure that systems are functionally appropriate, technically sound, and well-integrated; test and implement system and enhancements using techniques that preserve system integrity; responsible for immediate response to production program issues; set up or follow established procedures and standards to ensure high quality and quantity of work; research and recommend alternative actions for problem resolution; employ productivity aids in all aspects of assignments.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors or foreign equivalent degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or as a software engineer, software or UI developer, or in a related/similar position. Experience therein to include 5 years in design, development, maintenance, and support of web service applications using React, JavaScript, CSS, and SOAP or REST API architecture; 3 years supporting large scale and performant custom software development for high volume e-commerce platforms with user traffic averaging over one million visitors per month and annual transactions/revenue totaling in billions of dollars; 3 years building custom software for an airline e-commerce platform, airline reservation system, or a related airline commercial system; 3 years in the design, development, maintenance, and support of applications dealing with PII (Personally Identifiable Information), financial, and other sensitive data, following web service security best practice and PCI (Payment Card Industry) compliance guidelines. Hybrid role, ability to work from home.
