Responsibilities:
- This role will also support integration, test, and verification in the final products
- Analyze, design, simulate, and implement algorithms in hardware descriptor languages, HDL (VHDL, Verilog), based on customer requirements and/or MATLAB model(s)
- Implement and validate signal processing concepts such as FFTs, channelizers, digital filters, digital modulation, digital down/up-conversion, adaptive processing, etc
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplined design team (electrical engineers, systems engineers and scientists) to design and integrate challenging DSP FPGA designs and RF sensor systems
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplined design team to design and integrate DSP applications for latest System on a Chip (SoC) implementations such as Xilinx Zynq Ultrascale&43;, Intel Stratix-10, and Xilinx RFSoC, Versal
- Analyze, design, simulate, and implement designs which interface to common signaling standards, typical IP hard macros such as SERDES, PLLS, etc and/or protocols such PCIe, JESD204B, LVDS, etc
- Implement firmware solutions that interface with hardware and SW systems (FPGAs, GPUs, GPPs)
- Develop and maintain firmware in compliance with security, quality, and performance requirements
- Contribute to the development of firmware architectures, design patterns, and engineering best practices
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging efforts as part of a collaborative team environment
- Develop and maintain requirements documents, functional specification documents, interface control documents, etc
- Develop project test plans and test procedures, provide test planning support, and assist in the execution of both lab testing and field testing
Must-haves:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related discipline and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience
- Typically 6 or more years of relevant experience developing DSP software systems, preferably in a SIGINT/military context
- Understanding of Computer Aided Engineering tools
- Practical knowledge of engineering principles and practices
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams
- Proficiency in C/C&43;&43;, Python, and other scripting languages commonly used in DSP systems
- Experience with signal processing libraries and frameworks such as Redhawk, GNU radio, intel primitives (IPP), liquid DSP, FFTW, GNU scientific libraries, etc
- Familiarity with networking, packets, TCP/IP, UDP, Multicast and network architectures
- Familiarity with gRPC, sockets, XML and JSON
- Familiarity with a LINUX development environment, Petalinux and Yocto
- US Citizenship with ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
Preferred:
- Understanding of industry standard software languages such as C, C, C&43;&43;, HTML, Java, Python, and Bash
- Experience with software tools for requirements tracking, code reviews, static analysis, library and artifact repository, and automated build
- Knowledge of software development methodologies such as Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, and Spiral
- Experienced with data structures
- Masters degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related field
- Familiarity with government open standards: SOSA, VITA, MORA, etc
- Familiarity with FPGA and ARM processors and memory access (e.g. DMA)
- Familiarity with MATLAB & Simulink
- Familiarity with revision control (git, cvs, clearcase, etc.)
- US Citizenship with an Active Security Clearance
Estimated Starting Salary Range: $104,827.91 - $144,138.38. SNC considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
