Position is full-time, temporary, exempt (salaried) working with the National Training Center Training Support Contract (NTCTSC) at the National Training Center (NTC). NTCTSC brings to bear the full capabilities of many of the worlds best systems integration and engineering companies in the technical integration of live, virtual and constructive (LVC) training support. The NTCTSC is located at Fort Irwin, CA, in the Mojave Desert, approximately forty miles northeast of Barstow, CA. NTCTSC operations support the NTC mission: to provide realistic joint and combined arms training focused on developing soldiers, leaders, and units of the United States military for success on the 21st Century Battle Field.

Responsibilities:

Performs duties as the liaison between the customer, site managers, sub-contractors, engineers, technicians and operators working at the NTC as the site manager designated representative at the Operations Control Center, conducting mission support reporting to the Operations Control Center (OCC) Manager. Ensures all maintenance, training, supply and property process/practices supporting site operations are implemented and documented in Maximo. Responsible for the working with government customer, site management, and sub-contractors to ensure the physical security, personnel security (badge), access control, emergency operations center functions; management, coordination, scheduling, operations, maintenance, and overall activities of various separate and unique teams meet mission requirements at NTC. Responsible for a duty shift in a 24/7 operation center to perform tracking of all site activities in the maneuver box; clearance of personnel into the maneuver box, live-fire; EOD; scheduling of aircraft and vehicles; monitoring of security systems; site badge operations, access/control monitoring for C4I facilities (buildings 990/988/989/130/930/933A/6223/C2), and SAR/SOW reporting requirements for site and customer to monitor rotational status. Support quality/ISO, security, safety and training programs. Will adhere to NTC, Operations Group, company, Site Manager, directives, memoranda, policies and procedures. Support quality/ISO, security and training programs. Performs duties as outlined in shift checklist which include monitoring and reporting on the status of the Access Control. Directly supervises the Service Order Dispatchers, site badge activity, and receptionist personnel during shift. Performs duties during 24/7 shift operations to support, report, and monitor rotational support activities.

This position is for 3rd shift.



Required Education: Bachelors Degree in Business, Engineering, or Electronics related field. May consider experience in lieu of formal education (10 years plus of equivalent military training, technical school, or professional experience).

Required Experience: Background and previous certification in OSHA safety training is required. Must possess knowledge of the NTC field terrain, safety issues related to facility maintenance, and generator operations. Experience in the use of Microsoft Office software products. This position requires experience associated with the schemes, scenarios, and maneuvers applied by the U. S. Army in this training environment toward supporting accurate mission accomplishment to contractual requirements.

Desired Experience: Experience at NTC as an observer controller with a working knowledge of computer network systems and data processing, and NTC-IS.

Desired Physical Abilities: Able to work long hours on a 7-day a week scheduled days, nights, and swing shifts. Must be able work in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, wind). Special

Requirements: Possess and maintain a valid California Driver's License, and maintain Post driving privileges. Must be fluent in English, with ability to read, write, and comprehend technical documentation, schematics, and diagrams. Must be a U. S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance. Must be able to lift a maximum of 50lbs and wear appropriate personal protective equipment. May be required to travel CONUS/ OCONUS to support unit training. Must be deployable within CONUS for up to 180 days.
