Detailed Job Description:
Project Lead, Airframe Projects. Responsible for day-to-day task execution, schedule management, and budget administration for the Raytheon Mechanical Engineering Team that operates at a contractor location in Oklahoma City, OK. The role requires effective communication skills for briefings to Raytheon executive leadership on program status and plans.  The role will need to proactively identify problems and then collaborate with team members, program leadership, manufacturing, and other program organizations to achieve efficient solutions.  The role will also assist with program planning and the preparation of team performance metrics and visibility charts to support management reviews.  Domain knowledge of major aircraft structural modification work and associated FAA flight certification processes is preferred for role candidates.

Qualifications:
  • Must have prior experience leading and participating in design and development of aircraft.
  • Must have strong background in with classical hand analysis
  • Ability to lead (Plan, task, and status) a small team of 4-10 analysts.
  • Experience presenting challenging program and technical issues to senior leadership.
  • Experience in Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) preferred.
  • Earned Value (EV) experience preferred.
  • Prefer strong knowledge of aircraft structural assembly including basic material compatibility, fastener and standard parts, and finishes.
  • Experience with modified aircraft flight testing preferred.
  • Experience with FAA Airworthiness Standards and Documentation, FAA Original Design Approval (ODA), and Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) preferred.
