Own supplier performance results, drive improvements utilizing supplier scorecards while managing action items. Lead escape investigations and manage RCCA completion. Collaborate with customers to resolve concerns. SQEs have various levels of differentiation which are related to level of technical understanding.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of the Quality discipline as well as analytical thinking to execute policy/strategy. Awareness of related job disciplines including business operations, purchasing, and engineering.
  • Own the GE-Supplier relationship within the Quality function. Manage supplier performance, drive improvements utilizing supplier scorecards.
  • Lead action item reviews.  Drive supplier accountability for sub-tier supplier performance.
  • Lead escape investigations and manage associated RCCA activities.  Collaborate with customers to share results and resolve concerns.
  • Lead customer return investigations and provide feedback regarding findings.  Complete read-across activities within assigned commodity.
  • Lead Quality assessments and audits, manage associated RCCA activities.
  • Cross functional responsibilities will include support of business-critical product quality engineering and new product introduction (NPI) activities.   
  • Other activities associated with the SQE role include Source Profile maintenance, Completion of Priority Parts Reviews, and management of supplier action plans within Supplier Rating System.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university plus a minimum of 3 years Quality experience, or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 8 years Quality experience)
