This position requires a multi-discipline Air Vehicle Structures Engineer to perform problem analysis and disposition and in-house technical support for the F-35.

Applicant will be required to accomplish in-depth analysis of F-35 Structures in support of Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company (LM Aero).

Coordinate evaluation of impacts from proposed problem resolutions. Remain current on all proposed and pending engineering changes for assigned systems and monitor systems performance indicators to identify emerging failure trends. This individual will provide field technical support to operational, training and test sites. Coordinate required vendor and engineering support during investigation, fact finding, and resolution/disposition.

Must be able to effectively utilize technical and engineering data to perform problem analysis at the subsystem level. Support program technical interchange meetings and program plans development relating to problem analysis and disposition and in-house technical support.

Must be a US citizen. This position requires special access and a Secret clearance to be considered. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

This position will initially be a dayshift support position but candidate must be willing to support possible second shift or weekend support depending on the need of the customer.

A level 3 employee Typically has 5 - 10 years of professional experience.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered career, or journey, level.

• Must hold a Final DoD Secret Clearance prior to start

• Prior experience with technical writing

• Prior experience with engineering drawing and schematic reading and/or interpretation

• Previous Aircraft Experience (i.e. Hands-On, Structural, Low Observable, Vehicle Systems experience)
Desired Skills:
• Previous experience with DaDT and Service Life Analysis extremely helpful• Experience responding to customer queries regarding problems, technical responses.
• Good knowledge of F-35 CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and ALIS (Autonomic Logistics Information System) will be helpful.
• Knowledge of LM Aero engineering applications/resources helpful.
• Prior field or in-plant experience on military aircraft.
• Experience with MS Office applications (ex. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience with CATIA and VAS
• Military Aircraft on-aircraft experience with a background in Structures

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
