Systems Engineer
Essential Functions:
- Develop and maintain complex system architectures for large-scale projects
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications to support system infrastructure
- Ensure system availability, reliability, and scalability through proactive monitoring and performance tuning
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve system issues and improve system functionality
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system diagrams, user manuals, and standard operating procedures
- Lead project planning and implementation efforts, including resource allocation, risk assessment, and project scheduling
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in systems engineering and identify opportunities to implement them in the organization
Qualifications and Education:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, with a focus on design, development, and maintenance of complex systems
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Bash
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
- Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead complex projects from planning through implementation
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for systems engineering, including ITIL, ISO, and NIST.
- Ability to obtain/maintain a TS/SCI DoD clearance, U.S. Citizenship required
