You will be the Systems Engineering Senior Manager for the Simulation Design team within the Simulation & Systems Test (SST) Functional Directorate of Engineering & Technology (E&T). The SIM Design team consists of 85+ staff with growth to 90-100+ comprised of Systems Engineers responsible for developing subsystem level requirements, allocating and functionally decomposing them into HW and SW designs to enable the hardware and software teams to develop test venues that support all LOBs (ADP, IFG, F-35, AMMM [C-130, C-5, P-3]).

What You Will Be Doing

As the Senior Manager of Systems Engineering, your primary focus will include overseeing multiple lab venues across our key geographic locations. These venues are responsible for software simulations for supplier and weapon models, environmental simulations, and Operational Flight Program (OFP) code used in the development and testing of complex aircraft mission and vehicle systems, including man-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop simulation environments.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Strengthening the Systems Engineering processes through estimating and executing planned work, measuring performance (EVMS), and establishing innovative design methodologies and tools to ensure on-time delivery of contractual requirements with high quality products
• Resolving programmatic and technical issues across the programs, identifying risks, and establishing appropriate mitigation plans
• Supporting digital transformation and CI/CD pipelines throughout the development life-cycle and facilitating transformational improvements across existing software teams
• Advancing Model-Based Systems Engineering and Team expertise and establishing Competency Development actions to ensure a pipeline of skilled engineering talent
• Performing employee assessments, salary planning, recognition, disciplinary actions, training plans, career development and succession planning
• Staffing for workforce planning for funded and high-potential work and organizing for fluid talent movement across the technical teams to support cross-platform growth opportunities and program needs

You will need to be a US Citizen, and currently possess and be able to maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
