STS Technical Services is hiring Test Technicians in Danbury, Connecticut.
Position Summary:
As a Test Technician on our 2nd shift, you will be responsible for testing and troubleshooting electromechanical assemblies and various products.
Schedule:
- Our 2nd shift operates Monday to Thursday from 3:00pm to 12:30am, with every other Friday from 2:00pm to 10:30pm.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to engineers on moderately complex components, devices, materials, products, processes, and equipment.
- Test, modify, rework, and repair electronic, optical, and mechanical assemblies.
- Interpret wiring and assembly drawings, operation sheets, engineering specifications, and sketches.
- Coordinate multiple activities simultaneously and adjust priorities according to operational changes.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators such as production deadlines, product quality, raw material stock levels, and compliance outcomes.
- Support and uphold the mission, values, and culture of the organization.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree and 2+ years of experience in a technical discipline or equivalent field experience.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and wire lists.
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
- Strong mechanical skills.
- Preferred experience in soldering and wire bonding.
- Knowledge of various test equipment.
- Attention to detail.
- Compliance with safety and procedural rules.
- Basic computer literacy, including the use of programs such as Access, Excel, and Labview.
- Preferred experience with MRP systems.
