Position Overview:
Come join Boeing’s Mobility, Surveillance, and Boomers division in San Antonio and the unique opportunity to work on the next generation Presidential Aircraft (VC-25B). Our teams are currently hiring for an Experience Project Engineer to join our Insulation Blanket Integration team within the Systems Engineering organization.

Position Responsibilities:
Provide project engineering leadership for the insulation blanket integration through design, development, modification, and installation
Strong communication and organizational skills and lead cross-functional teams through complex design challenges, including presentations/reporting to program leadership
Performing project engineering tasks including cost, schedule, risk, earned value management, driving affordability measures
Provides technical, business and integration leadership for the development and execution of project plans
Provides the Engineering leadership to a team representing multiple skill areas, which may include internal and external resources and customers
Defines plans for risk mitigation and opportunity. Compares actual results to baseline plan to assess project performance, efficiencies, productivity and lessons learned
Leads project execution to complete the work statement. Identifies performance metrics.
Responds to changes to SOW, assesses the impact and negotiates proposed changes to determine modifications to the deliverables, resources, costs and schedules.
Develops statement of work (SOW) to satisfy research and development, ongoing and new business requirements
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options
This position requires ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience with airplane programs products or processes.
PMP Certification
Active/Current Secret or Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance
Experience with blanket insulation
Typical Education/Experience:
Senior (Level 4): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years related work experience, Master+7 years related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Lead (Level 5): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years related work experience, Master+12 years related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Basic relocation is available for internal candidates.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary pay range (Senior - Level 4): $114,750 - $155,250. Summary pay range (Lead - Level 5): $140,250 - $189,750
