Position Overview
 
The VP of Maintenance is responsible for overseeing the maintenance team, developing and executing a team of professionals to oversee aircraft maintenance, equipment and supplies.  Manage and oversee maintenance operations to ensure the highest aircraft dispatch reliability and availability.
Duties & Responsibilities 
 
Leadership skills to manage, and mentor maintenance personnel to foster and maintain a highly motivated and efficient workforce. Provide expert-level technical skills to help management complete tasks. Responsible for cost effective budgetary decisions that have a direct bearing on aircraft airworthiness and safety of flight.  Work directly with company senior leadership and operations to exercise strategic vision in identifying future requirements and plan accordingly to efficiently meet future demands.  Develop strong business relationships with vendors and strive to provide excellent client service.

  • Strong leadership and management skills, ability to conduct management meetings
  • Lead and evaluate maintenance team performance. Coordinate, and direct all activities.
  • Work with leadership to set the business direction and strategy for the Aviation sector.
  • Entrepreneurial and collaborative.
  • Control and predict financial costs.
  • Strong negotiating skills.
  • Highly organized and thorough in performing duties and adhering to deadlines
  • Manage projects, including interactions with FAA officials.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA guidelines and safety standards.
  • Create and direct plans to maintain and enhance department.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic work environment, must be team oriented
  • Proficient with office software to create spreadsheets for tracking, budgets and conducting meetings
Required Education and Experience
  • A bachelor's degree in Business
  • Five years senior leadership experience
  • Must have experience under Part 135 rule and regulations
  • Familiar with Pilatus PC-12, Embraer Phenom 100, Embraer Phenom 300, Cessna Latitude & Cessna CJ3
