PURPOSE: The Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis will enable value-building decisions, standards, processes, execution, and continuous improvement throughout Avelo Airlines by developing effective financial, operating, Customer and Crewmember data analyses, modeling, and company financial forecasts.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support effective budget management and planning by updating, reporting, and analyzing our budget including the short-term budget (12-month) and assisting with our 5-year model
- Enable value-creating/cost-effective decisions, process design, and execution by building Avelo financial, operating, customer, models, and data analyses (e.g. real estate, compensation, airports, materials, etc.)
- Support continuous improvement and building competitive advantages by analyzing competitor/external financial, operating, customer performance and data to create actionable insights.
- Build understanding, alignment, and execution by developing clear, insightful, and compelling presentations and other communication materials for our Board of Directors, partners, and crewmembers
- Provide analytical and execution support to other company initiatives and projects as needed, including business development, processes, etc.
Requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with specific focus on financial modeling,
- Ability to break down complex problems, analyze, and communicate solutions in an effective manner to all levels of the organization in an ever-changing environment
- Must be able to balance both financial and operational requirements
- Analytical aptitude; enjoys strategic thinking
- Must be able to thrive in a dynamic, fast paced environment, and deliver effective recommendations & results quickly
- Strong written & verbal communication skills
- Strong desire for continuous learning & improvement
X-FACTORS:
- 1-2 years’ experience in related role preferred
- Prior airline industry experience preferred
