AHUK offers considerable experience in helicopter sales, bespoke completions, maintenance and spares support. Its in-house engineering capabilities include design, customisation, installation, flight-testing and certification, as well as technical support, maintenance, training and the supply of spares for civil and military applications.
AHUK is the MoD’s chosen provider of helicopters and maintenance for its Defence Helicopter Flying School (referred to as MFTS) located in RAF Shawbury (Shropshire) and RAF Valley (Anglesey).
Description/Overall purpose of the Job
Financial Analyst to work as part of the Finance Controlling team in Oxford Airport.
Main responsibilities
Campaigns/Offers: Liaise with the Senior Management Team to validate the financial integrity of offers, following the costing and pricing process.
Develop work breakdown structures to generate project plans, work packages and schedules for future contract proposals – linking with Primavera scheduling tool
Forecast: Assist in the preparation of EAC forecasts incorporating reviews of the P&L, balance sheet and cash
Report deviations to plan regarding programme, finance and resource status, enabling forecasting of costs to complete using and updating the forecasting model
Risk management & Internal controls: monitor adherence to company policies and procedures and the relevant accounting standards
Monitor and maintain billing milestones in line with contract requirements
Project Reporting and Managing in SAP for training and repair projects
Assist the Financial Controller to achieve its objectives
Ad-hoc Reporting – Produce ad-hoc reports as required (Hours & Productivity, Project Costs, reports for auditors, etc.) Liaison with external auditors
SAP key user for CO module including acceptance testing and management and control of JIRA tickets.
Work with IM on the development of financial processes within SAP – continuous updates of SAP functionality

Knowledge and Skills
Essential
Strong knowledge of SAP FI and CO
Analytical, problem solving, presentation and communication skills
Strong inter personnel skills and the ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written forms with internal customers.
Good working knowledge of accountancy principles
Good oral and written communication skills
Use of MS office and Excel
Ability to coordinate a number of tasks simultaneously, and to prioritise and work to tight deadlines
A structured /methodical approach to all planning/tracking tasks
Good report and procedure writing skills
Solid understanding of work package management and work package control
Knowledge of risk management principles

Education, Qualifications or Training
Essential
Part/Newly qualified Accountant
Bachelor degree in business administration/finance or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience which as provided both theoretical and practical knowledge in the field
Experience of working with SAP
Knowledge of scheduling tools such as Primavera (P6)

Due to the nature of this position you will require DBS Security Clearance and be eligible for SC clearance.

Full driving licence preferred but not essential
