Job Description:
Analyzes data and supplier proposals to determine fair and reasonable pricing as well as compliance with US Government pricing regulations. Conducts fact-finding as needed to review basis of estimates and source documentation verifying proposal cost estimates. Reviews technical analyses and audit reports to assist in the evaluation of price/cost reasonableness. In addition, supports price negotiations held with the supplier. Uses industry techniques and practices to establish fair and reasonable pricing positions and negotiation ranges. Reviews subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment and services. Utilizes expertise of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR) Supplements, with a strong working knowledge of FAR Part 15. Also utilizes knowledge of Title 10 CFR 600. May function in an advisory or leadership role providing direction to professional staff; may participate in the selection, development and training of all levels of professional procurement staff. Utilizes analytical, verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report, and present findings. Maintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information. Utilizes MS Office Suite, SAP and other applications. Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or business administration or related field, plus 8 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment OR Associate’s degree in finance, accounting or business administration or related field, plus 12 years’ exempt experience in a manufacturing environment OR High School diploma or Equivalent, plus 16 years’ exempt experience in a manufacturing environment.Equivalent experience may be substituted in lieu of education. Must have a complete knowledge and competence in the concepts, principles, and standard practices in costing and pricing. Must have experience negotiating and working in government contracting environment and be able to analyze and solve a variety of moderately complex costing problems. Must have good interpersonal skills and communication skills, both verbal and written.Must have MS Office Suite, SAP and other ERP applications experience. Must be able to work extended hours when required.
