ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under general supervision, must exercise knowledge to perform a variety of job duties relating to the proficient set-up of CNC horizontal lathe machines including but not limited to:

a. Creating, editing, verifying and storing CNC programs

b. Perform routine floor walks to verify that codes are being optimized and running at rate daily

c. Review router, blueprints, work orders and sketches to determine setup, tooling and specifications of parts

d. Performs set-up and operation of machines effectively and within specified time frames

e. Perform visual and manual inspections utilizing comparators and microscopes

f. Utilization of PB Fasteners Job Clock System as needed

g. Ability to troubleshoot and find resolutions

h. Adhere to all PB Fastener company policies

i. Other duties as assigned


In addition to the above, programmers are to maintain an organized, clean and safe work area using safety standards and expectations while adhering to all quality practices. Management may change responsibilities and/or assignments to meet the business needs without prior notice. PB Fastener follows an At-Will Employment practice


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or GED, and certificate from a technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience:

1. Competency in G-code and M-code

2. Certification in CNC Programming or minimum 10 years as an operator doing setups in the fastener industry (Certification preferred)

3. Training a plus


REQUIRED SKILLS:

1. Language: ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals; ability to verbally communicate effectively.

2. Mathematical: ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; ability to apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry.

3. Reasoning Ability: ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions provided in written, oral or diagram form.

4. Ability to read and interpret blue prints.

5. Ability to read and interpret router instructions and specifications.

6. Properly use calipers, micrometers and other gauge measuring tools.

7. Master Cam Programmer

8. Experience with Set up on Takisawas, Hardinge, & Cubic&39;s .

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $34.00 to $42.00 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 80 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company&39;s medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s 401(k) plan.
