Job Description:
The Coordinator-Heavy Maintenance Parts reports to the Manager-Material Programs. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
 
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate all C-check Parts Movement for Contract Vendors along with mod kits.
  • Purchasing Parts for C-Check.
  • Pre-Draw for C-Checks/coordinate life limited parts for the fleet.
  • Spreadsheets Status.
  • Cost Analysis for C-check Parts.
  • Contacts vendors and shippers to ensure that parts are forwarded to the specified shipping dates.
  • Communicate with transportation companies to prevent delays in transit, and they may arrange for the distribution of materials upon their arrival.
  • Coordinate with contracts on problem vendors on guaranteed turn times.
  • May be required to visit work areas of vendors and shippers to check the status of orders and follow up issues concerning performance. Located and distributes parts to specified production areas.
  • Provide oversight for heavy maintenance, outsource, and mod line aircraft to ensure continual parts support to meet schedule maintenance requirements.
  • Provide program management for contracted heavy maintenance providers to include the MROS updates concerning drop shipments and direct shipments to vendors for purchase and repair components.
  • Any other tasks as assigned by the Manager-Material Programs.
Job Requirements:

Qualifications

  • High School Graduate or GED.
  • One year of general aviation supply experience.
  • Must be able to climb/descend work stands and ladders, picking up parts and manuals up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to walk throughout the maintenance facility unassisted.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access).
  • Must be able to travel as needed.
Preferred
  • Three or more years experience in Aircraft Material.
  • Knowledge of MROS.
  • Experience with ordering parts and coordinating repair orders with vendors.
  • Vendor Support experience
