Job Description:
This is a part-time internship (16-20 hours per week) located in Composite Assembly or Jet Bond Shop. You will be trained in installing aircraft components, sub-assemblies, and composite parts. This internship will provide you hands-on experience and exposure to the general aviation manufacturing environment. It will aid your learning experiences and enhance your aviation knowledge as an Aviation Maintenance Technology student. You will play an integral role in creating and constructing the worlds bestselling general aviation aircraft.
Schedule Options:
- Monday through Thursday, 8am-12pm (16 hours per week)
- Monday through Thursday, 8am-1:30pm (20 hours per week)
- Monday through Thursday, 10am-3:30pm (20 hours per week)
- Monday through Thursday 11:30am-3:30pm (16 hours per week)
- Monday through Thursday, 4-9:30pm (20 hours per week)
Job Duties:
- Inspecting aircraft components, sub-assemblies, and composite parts.
- Following engineering drawings and specifications to install, connect, or bond aircraft parts using adhesives, rivets, or threaded fasteners.
- Ensures fit, clearance, alignment, and functional performance complies with design requirements.
- Preparing and using fixtures to aid in locating, bonding, or drilling aircraft parts.
- Routing wire harnesses in accordance with specifications.
Qualifications:
- Current Aviation Maintenance Technology (AMT) student attending Lake Superior College in Duluth, Minnesota.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen & background check.
