Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Manage overseas transportation and related logistics of goods & services to execute shipments as needed, provide subject matter expertise to internal colleagues seeking support with logistics matters, shipping, customs clearance, import and export processes

  • Fulfill orders for assigned tasks which includes receiving, stocking, loading, unloading and clerical support

  • Visually examine materials and accompanying paperwork for defects and sorts articles according to extent of defect.  Accurately identify part numbers, serial numbers, and quantities and assure all match the accompanying paperwork

  • Interface with technician team and suppliers in order to schedule the receipt of material to meet production demand.

  • Responsible for material scheduling for components and parts and main contact to track material readiness, updating database, editing routines documents, procurement follow up and expediting management.

  • Evaluate and drive resolution on all manufacturing material quality and supply issues.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of the e-sourcing plan to reduce cost and cycle time.

  • Assure that the shop has the necessary materials.

  • Identify and react to material plans that do not meet customer requirements.

  • Monitor implementation of corrective action plans.

  • Perform some or all of the required functions from initiation of intent to purchase to satisfactory delivery of material or service.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • BA degree with more than 2 years experience in a corporate or professional business environment in an administrative role

  • Knowledge of general office management and current computer/office communications technologies expert in PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook.

  • Knowledge of SAP system

  • Ability to exercise independent judgment consistent with department guidelines.

  • Previous experience using independent thought processes to plan ahead, process information, maintain workflow and anticipate future needs of the team.

  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.

  • Ability to quickly identify and prioritize issues, create solutions and meet deadlines.

  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills, capable of working within a globally diverse team across the organization.
