Job Description:

Nampa Valley Helicopters has an immediate opening for a Full-Time Parts Department Manager.

  • Proper management, handling, and processing of our aircraft spare parts, and material(s) inventory is an integral and critical part of our operations.
  • The Parts Department Manager is accountable for the overall management and operations of the “Parts Department” which includes purchasing, repairs, and the spare parts/materials inventory.
  • Responsible for managing, directing, and supervising all personnel assigned to the Parts Department in accordance with company policy and procedures as applicable.
  • Responsible for monitoring employee performance, coaching, guiding, counseling employees as needed, and applying disciplinary actions as required.
  • Ensure that assigned employees comply with established company policies and procedures
  • Responsible for ensuring that all purchasing, repairable, and inventory control processes, procedures, and quality control functions are performed efficiently and in accordance with established company policies/procedures, the NVH RSM/QCM, and that adequate control systems are in place and utilized to maintain the integrity and accountability of company inventory and purchasing/repairs programs.
  • Responsible for working closely with the sales team, and shop production managers to interpret inter-company orders and fill/delivery requirements, enter orders, and follow up as necessary ensuring fulfillment of intercompany orders is within company guidelines and expectations.
  • Monitor orders placed and repairable(s) in work for accuracy, timely processing, and fulfillment.
  • Responsible for coordinating vendor repair activities and ensuring that approved vendors are utilized in accordance with the established Quality Assurance policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for working closely with the manufacturer(s) and vendors to obtain cost savings and increase vendor support and service(s).
  • Create and review procedures for distribution and inventory management to maximize inventory utilization and minimize costs.
  • Utilizes Quantum Aviation Software system for all inventory processing & posting.
  • Monitors shelf life of parts ensuring parts are pulled on a first in-first out basis.
  • Work on highly time-sensitive projects while adhering to deadlines.
  • Maintain a safe and lean work environment while following departmental processes and procedures.
  • Other Duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
  • Minimum five (5) years of previous experience in aircraft logistics/inventory control and or purchasing; previous experience in aircraft maintenance environment preferred.
  • Applicants with prior inventory experience, supply chain experience, accounting experience, and/or data entry experience are a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, detail-oriented, and ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines are a must for this
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills are required.
  • Ability to be a team player with a professional attitude.
  • Good supervisory and organizational skills
  • Ability to comply with company and regulatory rules and regulations.
  • Must have the ability to develop instructions and procedures and to work independently.
  • Dependable and self-motivated
  • Strong computer skills, including a working knowledge of computerized purchase order/work order/inventory control systems, Word and Excel, and knowledge of associated software applications.
  • Experience with Quantum aviation software is a plus.

This position requires:

  • must be able to lift 40lbs min (occasionally)
  • must be able to work independently
  • M-F 8-5 work schedule / 40 hr week (Overtime as required)
  • Indoor / office working environment
Salary Range: hourly-DOE
