Boeing Defense, Space and Security is seeking a Power Test Technician to join our Space and Launch Division on our Satellite Systems Team. This team manages the companys major commercial and government satellite and ground programs for communications, national defense and other missions. This position is located in El Segundo, CA. Position Responsibilities:

  • Operates a variety of advanced computer assisted, computer controlled and manual test equipment to functionally test power electronic subassemblies, slices, and units or equivalent in accordance with engineering specifications.

  • Works from test and planning documents, circuit and product diagrams, equipment manuals, and verbal and written instructions.

  • Sets up the test configuration by making all cable connections between the item-under-test and the station. Secures connectors to the proper torque where required.

  • Reviews test data for failures and fills out paperwork to report failures.

  • Operates commercial and custom test equipment including computer controlled test stations, oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, logic analyzers, chart recorders, and thermal chambers.

  • Uses, interprets and critiques circuit and product drawings, and test documents such as specifications and procedures.

This position is expected to be 100 on site.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with specialized and commercial test equipment, computers and related equipment to perform manual and automated testing.

  • Experience with unit diagnostics including rework recommendation.

  • Experience in assist engineering in final checkout and redlining of new test procedures, test equipment drawings, test fixtures and software.

  • Experience and/or education in electrical testing concepts

Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with basic electronic tool, schematic, planning experience.

  • Experience, familiarity and comfort around and using high voltage test equipment

Security Clearance or Export Control:

To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required.  “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. 

Relocation:

This position does not offer relocation.  Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense

Summary of Pay Range: $21.44/Hourly- $31.65/Hourly
